The Workplace Safety and Scaffolding Training program aims to ensure workplace safety, particularly in relation to working at heights and utilizing scaffolding systems. The training covers essential aspects such as safe work practices, fall arrest systems, manual handling of scaffolding components, and the construction of basic scaffolding structures. Participants will undergo both practical and theoretical assessments and exams to demonstrate their understanding of erecting, altering, and dismantling different types of scaffolds while complying with regulations.

The Workplace Safety and Scaffolding Training program covers various key areas, including:

  1. Health and safety in the workplace.
  2. Safe working at heights.
  3. Fall arrest systems.
  4. Manual handling of scaffolding components.
  5. Construction of basic scaffolding structures through practical and theoretical assessments and exams.
  6. Scaffolding ties.
  7. Alterations to scaffolding structures.

The outcomes of the training program are as follows:

  1. Understanding the correct and safe methods of erecting, altering, and dismantling independent scaffolds, scaffolds with returns, and tower scaffolds using tube and fitting systems.
  2. Familiarity with the regulations governing the safe erection, alteration, and dismantling of scaffolds, as well as the recommended work methods.
  3. Determining the material requirements for independent scaffolds, scaffolds with returns, and tower scaffolds using tube and fitting systems.
  4. Ability to lay out materials, set up scaffolds, and overcome obstacles to ensure safe scaffold erection.
  5. Ensuring that scaffolds are constructed following safe systems of work.
  6. Working as part of a team to safely erect, alter, and dismantle various basic scaffold structures in the correct sequence.
